Record of Ragnarok : Gods vs Humans.

Image
A cover of Record of Ragnarok. Welcome back! Today I'll talk about yet another manga where characters fight! As cliche as fighting manga can seem, it's pretty impressive to find original ones nowadays. Most ideas have been taken already and coming up with new ones can seem like quite the challenge; and yet Record of Ragnarok was one of those mangas that surprised me. Record of Ragnarok is a seinen that was scripted by  Shinya Umemura and  Takumi Fukui and drawn by  Ajichika. It was prepublished in the Monthly Comic Zenon in November 2017 and then got published into volumes by Coamix. This manga starts by showing us that every millennial, gods meet up for a reunion where they decide if they live or die, Zeus is the one to control every god (Since he's the god of gods.) This year it's the god's last straw tho and they all decide to kill humans. But a certain valkyrie by the name of Brunehilde comes up and asks for a trial, this trial is a right that humans have and it...

Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction and Inio Asano's art change...

Hello ! Welcome back for a new post, today I wanted to change the pace a bit. So far I've only talked about mangas I finished reading not too long ago, which meant my memory was fresh and I knew what to say about them, yet today I wanted to change it up a bit ! We're still gonna talk about a manga of course, but I wanted to focus on the art this time.  We're gonna talk about Inio Asano, which is my favorite mangaka ! The first manga I read of him was Oyasumi Punpun; with it being first released in 2007. Of course I didn't read it as soon as it came ou and honestly I don't even remember when I read it. The manga tells the story of this little guy, Punpun. We follow him through his life. It's basically a manga about how someone as pure as a kid can grow up to become a monster due to the circumstances of his home and the people around him. It's a truly tragic story that left most people still shocked to this day. I really enjoyed it tho, I think ever once in a ...

Kengan Ashura : Tokita the "Ashura"

Welcome back ! This week's post will be centered around a manga I finally finished reading not too long ago, I wanted to make a post on it one week ago but since I wasn't done with it and wanted to give the best review I could, I thought I'd finish it first. So today, we'll talk about Kengan Ashura !  Kengan Ashura is a shonen manga that was scripted by Yabako Sandrovich and drawn by Daromeon. It was first prepublished in the magazine "Ura Sunday" between April 2012 to April 2018 before getting published by the editor Shogakukan in 27 volumes. So, compared to the manga on the last post, this one has ended ! (Not really since there's a sequel that's still being published but let's not talk about that)  You may ask yourself "But what is this all about ?" Well, it's a pretty simple story !  In this world, CEO's of Japan have an underground fighting tournament called "Kengan Ashura fights" they're basically the best way ...

Mashle : if Harry Potter was a bodybuilder !

Today's the real first post ! I wasn't sure on how to start, picking a manga out of all the ones I read was pretty rough, but for the first manga review, I wanted to start on a gentle note ! So, I thought about using a comedic manga, there's a few I read, not as much as other genre since comedic mangas sometimes end up falling flat, no real plot to get you invested in and too much jokes can kill your reading experience.  That's when it hit me ! A funny manga with a nice plot and cool characters ? That's Mashle ! Mashle is a shonen manga (A manga meant for boys and teens) written and drawn by Hajime Komoto. It was first published on the 27th of January 2020 in the Weekly Shonen Jump, a book that comes out every week with all of the new chapters of shonen mangas.  The story is pretty simple : We live in a world where magic dominates everything, everyone uses magic and spells for all kinds of reason, fighting, creating buildings, travelling... We follow a young boy ca...

Hello and welcome on  The Ink Shore ! This blog is an assignement due to my class in Professional English, so hopefully it's good enough to get me a good grade !  I wasn't sure on what to do at first, I especially struggled with the name, I didn't want it to sound too cliché but I'm not very good with names. Knowing this blog would be about manga reviews, it made me think of Ink, since that's what you use while drawing mangas..Next, I just thought about a sea of Ink and that's how I came up with the title of this blog. Original isn't it?  So yeah, this blog will be all about manga reviews since they're one of my favorite thing in the world ! I read a lot of them, they're useful since you can read them anywhere and anytime : When you're bored, when you're getting to school in the bus, ect.... That's all for the introductions, hopefully, you'll enjoy your stay on my blog ! As a nice little ending, i'll post my favorite panel ever;...
